Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl spends a 15th week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, on the chart dated October 24, earning 87,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending October 15, according to Luminate — down 7 percent from the week before, and still a comfortable win. Streaming supplied 47,000 of the units, from 48.37 million official on-demand streams; traditional album sales rose 38 percent to 37,000 after physical editions were restocked in Swift’s official store; track purchases accounted for 3,000.
The week moves a larger number. Swift’s albums have now accumulated 101 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She is the only solo artist to reach triple digits; the Beatles, whose albums totaled 132 weeks on top between 1964 and 2001, are the only act ahead of her. Within her own catalog, Showgirl is now her second-longest-running No. 1 album, behind The Tortured Poets Department at 17 weeks and ahead of Fearless and 1989, at 11 each.
The album has been a record since it arrived. Released in October 2025, it opened with 4.002 million units — the biggest week in Billboard 200 history, passing the 3.482 million of Adele’s 25. Its latest run was powered by its Encore edition, released September 25 with four new songs, among them the Hot 100 No. 1 “Patient Zero”; the edition’s arrival carried the album from No. 21 back to No. 1 with 173,000 units, and it has held the top spot again since.
Former No. 1 albums fill out the rest of the top five: Olivia Rodrigo at No. 2, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem at No. 3, Ella Langley’s Dandelion at No. 4. Greta Van Fleet’s Palace for the People debuts at No. 9 with 30,000 units, the band’s fourth top-10 album. Swift’s label family dominates the frame around her: Republic Records and its family of labels hold eight of this week’s top 10 positions. The next possible disruption arrives Friday, when Yung Miami’s WATCH DIS is released.
