Davies Daily (daviesdaily.com) is a news publication of DMC LLC, the Davies Media Conglomerate. This policy explains what information the site collects when you read it or join it, and how that information is used. It took effect on October 21, 2026.
Information we collect
Reader accounts. When you join the Daily, we store your name, your email address, and your password in encrypted (hashed) form. We never see or store your password in plain text.
Reading the site. Our servers keep standard logs — your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and when — which we use to run the site, keep it secure, and understand which stories are read.
Writing to us. If you contact us by email, we keep your message and address so that we can reply.
Cookies
The Daily uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember display preferences, such as the compact view. You may block cookies in your browser settings; the paper will still be readable, but sign-in and preferences will not carry from visit to visit.
Advertising — Google AdSense
Davies Daily carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not give advertiser access to reader accounts. Information you give the Daily is used to run the Daily — your membership, your sign-in, and your reading — and for nothing else.
Children
Davies Daily is a general-audience news site. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
